A: All class times are approximate and subject to change without notice.
B: Both Mules and Donkeys in Pleasure Classes are shown together but judged separately.
C: Teamster Division requires a four wheel wagon.
       
 
* The Obstacle Challenge will be Friday Aug. 26 and Saturday Aug. 27 at 4:00 each day at the Trail Course. The fee is $10.00 per horse / rider combo.  Ribbons will be awarded for both days Saturday evening at the awards Ceremony / Pot Luck.  California State Horsemen Association rules will apply.  May enter both Friday and Saturday.  This is NOT an AMA or CSHA event.  It's just for fun to help support the Fair and to see what you and your Mule / Donkey / Horse can do.  Sign up at Mule Camp Thurs. night, or at the sign up area Friday and Saturday. ** Mule Trail Ride/Race – Approximately 25 miles

  • Aug. 26th@ 7:00 am – open to any mule –
  • Preliminary vet check @ 4:00 pm on the 25th – all participating mules must pass vet check –
  • Calcutta to follow vet check on Thursday evening
  • $150 entry fee
  • Vet check at halfway point of ride - The mule’s heart rate must be down to 64 beats/min before 15 min. wait time begins.  After the 15 min. wait period, rider can continue the ride.-

Prize Money

  • 1st place 50% of pot and contributions
  • 2nd place 30%
  • 3rd place 20%
  • 1st place “green mule” estimated prize $300 - $500  – a green mule is a mule that hasn’t placed at an organized race –
